Trans-nowhere Train

Our "train" at the Mongolian border waiting to go into Russia. No Engine, no passports, no washrooms, no clue what is going on. Ten hours later we have passed through multiple immigration checks, customs checks, parades of officials in a variety of uniforms from first Mongolia, then Russia, many simple cammo fatiques with no insignias. Thought of asking to see their ID but thought again. Trains like ours keep a small army of officials in jobs while on the train the staff play a game of bringing in merchandise and other odds and end hidden throughout the train and then divided up, traded or sold to others on the train. It was tedious but very entertaining at times. In China they save face by lying to your face if they skrew up. Here they make face and stare you down so you dare not ask. "No photos" so not much to share but did sneak a few. (later) Still have to get through a few more miles.
