Life Aboard the Trans Mongolian Line

Accomodations are compact but cofortable. Our cabinmate this time is a young woman from the french Alps who has been on the road for 7 months and just finished almost a week in the Gobi Desert area of Mongolia. She has a very Bohemian look and manner and comfortable in her own space. The scenery is wonderful and the company very friendly a from Australia, the UK, Germany, and even Russia. A siesmologist on his way home to Moscow, a young German couple with a 9 month old boy named Alex. He is teething and a screamer and not happy from the heat but very cute. They have been teaching at German schools in Shanghai. The border crossing from Mongolia takes 10 hours and many, many, many officials and inspections.
