meet on Jekyll Island Georgia and here until Friday. There are over 100 Triumphs here and it is gorgeous. The weather is clear and in the low 80s with no humidity. We had a great trip down covering 1250 miles with only one breakdown. We had a fuel pump leak that had gas spraying all over the firewall but luckily were able to get to a hotel and safety before anything serious happened. With some help from an Audi Dealership we were able to get some replacement screws to repair the fault and they even sent a tech to help us out. They took the car into the shop to make sure all was well and we were back on the road by noon the next day and able to stay on schedule.
Jekyll Island is both historic and beautiful and it is not hard to see why it attracted so many well to do Americans. We are in San Soucci Cottage which is part of the Jekyll Island Club complex which was built in the late 1800s and early 1900s and that has recently been restored. It is gorgeous and our room is huge with a fireplace, turret corner with large windows and table and four chairs plus a large balcony with rocking chairs. We are on the third floor with a wonderful view of the main lodge and the bay. It is magical with deer running through the property at night.
